Leslie Pearl Bailey-Clarke
Leslie Pearl Bailey-Clarke, a singer, songwriter, gospel recording artist and vocal instructor
sold out to getting out the life changing message of Jesus Christ and His ability to heal,
save and deliver. She has a testimony to share of great
triumph through life's many tribulations. Her gift to sing opened many doors for her
to sing in her college years as she went on the road as the
lead vocalist of a top 40 9-Piece R & B Band in the Mid- 80's,
known as "Play By Ear". She has served as a recording studio vocalist and artist vocal producer for
many years. Over those years the word of God was doing a work of transforming her
mind and changing her heart. It was in January of 1987 that she came
to a crossroad and cried out to God for total deliverance. It was that cry that
the Lord received from a heart that was truly ready to be set free to
yeild her gift to God. Leslie quit her band and began to write songs for the Lord. Since
then she has traveled nationally and internationally singing Gospel music
telling her story of salvation and deliverance. In the mid 1990's she
participated in some stage acting in "Momma I Want To Sing" &
"Crossroads of Life" both Off-Broadway plays. She has performed on the
popular television show "Bobby Jones Gospel". In 1996, Leslie started a school
known as Bailey's
Professional
Voice
Training School in
New York City
teaching vocal techniques at all levels as a private and group instructor.
The school Alumni exceeds 650 students. Leslie's many years of musical
training experience includes classical, traditional, Jazz, R&B & contemporary gospel music
vocals, as well as ministering in Spanish. Mrs.
Bailey-Clarke is a graduate of
Farmingdale
University and a portion of her study of music was
completed at The
New York
School
of the Bible. Leslie attributes a host of her vocal training
knowledge to the Spirit of The Lord Jesus Christ as she yielded to His direction
for excellence in Ministry. Also she was inspired by the
musical teaching of her 8 years training received by Keith J. Branch in New
York City. She released her first Gospel single "Clean Heart" in
2000.
For 14 years Leslie served as a Praise and Worship Leader and
Choir Director, for Love Fellowship of
Brooklyn,
New
York
, under the leadership of her then Pastor, Ronnie Leakey Jr. In 2002, she married Oswald Clarke and in 2004 God blessed them with
a healthy daughter named Cayliana Camille Clarke. In August 2005 Leslie and her family relocated to
Atlanta. She continues to help students to "Acheive their highest potential" from
her Covington, Georgia location. Leslie is a committed member and now serves in the Children's Ministry and Music
Ministry of the Springfield Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Eric Wendell Lee,
